How to efficiently complete the precision slitting of lithium battery electrodes

In the production of cylindrical batteries, the cutting accuracy of the electrode sheet directly affects the performance and consistency of the battery. As a key equipment for the preparation of lithium battery electrodes, the electrode slitting machine has become the preferred equipment for laboratory research and development and small-scale mass production through high-precision cutting, flexible adjustment and safety design.


The working principle of the cylindrical battery slitting machine
The cylindrical battery slitting machine is mainly used to cut the coated electrode sheet (positive or negative) into strips of specific width to meet the size requirements of the cylindrical battery. Its working principle is as follows: unwinding: the coated electrode coil is fixed on the unwinding shaft, and the coil is ensured to be smoothly unfolded through the tension control system; Deviation correction: The photoelectric sensor is used to detect the position of the electrode edge in real time, and automatically adjust the position of the coil to ensure the cutting accuracy; Cutting: The electrode sheet is cut into strips of preset width by means of a high-speed rotating round knife or laser cutting head; Rewinding: The cut electrode strip is neatly wound on the rewinding shaft, which is convenient for subsequent winding or lamination processes.

Flexible adjustment of cutting width: It supports the slitting of electrode sheets with a width of 20mm to 300mm, and can be quickly adjusted through spacer to adapt to various specifications such as cylindrical batteries and prismatic batteries.
Ultra-precise tolerance control: the accuracy of the blade spacing is ±0.1mm (such as 56±0.1mm, 58±0.1mm), to ensure that the edge of the electrode strip after slitting is flat and burr-free;
Wide compatibility: It can handle 80-300μm thickness of positive and negative electrode sheets, covering mainstream lithium battery materials (such as graphite anode, NCM cathode).


2. Electric slitting technology, stable and efficient
Synchronous cutting of upper and lower round knives: the upper and lower blades are driven at the same speed to avoid pulling and deformation of the material, and the cutting surface is smooth;
The bite of the knife edge is adjustable: the bite depth of the blade (0.2-0.4mm) is adjusted by the handwheel to adapt to the pole pieces of different thicknesses;
Controllable slitting speed: support stepless speed regulation (knob adjustment) of <2m/min to balance efficiency and accuracy requirements.


3. Designed for safety and convenience
Transparent protective cover: the cutter roller area is equipped with acrylic (Plexiglass) protection device, and the operation safety is visible;
Open blade fixation: quick disassembly of the blade reduces maintenance downtime;
